If you only have a fleeting hour, wander the charming streets of the city of kings, have a coffee in one of the cozy cafes, but if you have time, immerse yourself in the almost tangible history. The medieval ruin garden, the remains of the St. Stephen’s Basilica, the charming, Gothic St. Anne’s Chapel, the Bishop’s Palace, the Árpád-era royal tombs, the St. Stephen’s Church, which boasts an extremely rich archaeological collection – as well as the Black Eagle Museum and the Palotaváros Open-Air Museum.
A particularly recommended program for children and adults with a childish spirit is the Hetedhét Toy Museum in the Hiemer House, but the Carmelite Church, the Virágóra, the romantic Bory Castle, the Kégl Castle in the Székesfehérvár-Csala-puszta, the Csók István Art Gallery or the Ybl Collection are just some of the attractions that the built environment of Székesfehérvár offers us.
If we focus more on getting to know the natural environment, the Székesfehérvár Sand Mine Nature Reserve, the Dinnyési-fertő Nature Reserve, as well as the Aszal and Jancsár Valleys are worth visiting because of their unique flora and fauna.
